Hobbycraft's rather mediocre T-33 was the basis of this model. It was helped by the addition of a resin cockpit and intake trunks, produced by the now-defunct, Kendell Model Company (KMC).

Decals are Leading Edge's sheet for
"Mako One" (#48.005) and painted with Xtracolours enamels to match the colour chips included with Leading Edge's instruction sheet. "Mako One" was the scheme applied to a VU32 CT-133, on the occassion of the squadron's disbandment.
