To quote Lorenzo, "aka the 'Accidental' Mk.IX; Winner of the Rodney (I don't get no respect) Dangerfield award and trashed by 'experts' worldwide. You be the judge!"

The model depicts the aircraft as flown by the official top RCAF ace with 19 kills, S/L "Wally" McLeod, on D-Day. Of those 19 kills, 13 were downed over Malta. However, unlike his contemporary, "Buzz" Beurling, McLeod was an acknowledged leader. He was declared KIA, September 1944.

Decals are from a sheet on "Canadian Aces", produced by IPMS/Canada for it's members. The sheet contains both 1/72 and 1/48 markings covering 6 aces and 11 aircraft.
