The Heller Vampire Mk.V kit is mainly out-of-box, with two exceptions.

• The most obvious one is the wingtips. These came from a Spitfire. In this case, a Heller Spitfire (the wingtips were separate parts). The wingtips are almost a perfect match for the Vamipre wings, with only very minor sanding required, to slightly alter the plan view of the tips.
• The second exception is the clear "inspection panel(?)" in the nose, forward of the windscreen.
