Matchbox 1/72 Supermarine Walrus Mk.I; No. 712 Flight, HMS Sheffield, Royal Navy

This Walrus Mk.I, serialed L2180, is finished as it was when it was attached to No.712 Flight, HMS Sheffield between December 1937 and May, 1938.

Basically, this is an out-of-the-box kit. However, the small side windows were cut out and Kyrstal-Klear'd. Rigging was done with stretch sprue.

The finish is Testor's Model Master Aluminum. A Pegasus decal sheet of between-the-war roundels, provided suitable replacements for those on the kit's decal sheet. The ship's identifier fuselage band is handpainted.
